Terms of use
Last updated: 2026-10-11
These terms are the agreement between you and Théo Boulogne EI (IT'O), who operates the hosted Oh My House service (the web app at ohmyhouse.it-o.fr, and the mobile apps connected to it). By creating an account or using the service, you accept them. Please read them together with the Privacy policy.

1. The service
Oh My House helps a household get organised: a chores calendar with rotation, shopping lists, a pantry with expiry dates and reminders, recipes and a meal plan, a shared expenses ledger and a household chat.
- It is free. There is no subscription, no in-app purchase and no advertising.
- It keeps evolving. Features may change, and new ones arrive with updates.
- It is provided "as is". We do our best to keep it working and your data safe, but we cannot promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or suited to every need.
2. Your account
- One account per person. Accounts are personal: do not share yours, and do not create one for someone else without their agreement.
- Use an accurate email address that you can access. It is used to sign you in and to reset your password.
- Keep your password secret. You are responsible for what is done with your account. If you think someone else has access to it, change your password and tell us at contact@it-o.fr.
- Minimum age. You must be at least 15 years old to create an account. Below that age, in line with French law, you may use the service only with the consent of a parent or guardian, who should help you set it up.
3. Households
- The person who creates a household is its owner. The owner can remove members and delete the household.
- Anyone who has a household's current invite code can join it. Share the code only with people you want in your household. Any member can generate a new code in Settings, which invalidates the old one.
- What you add to a household is visible to all of its members: tasks, lists, recipes, pantry entries, expenses and chat messages.
4. Acceptable use
Oh My House is a shared space. Be kind to the people you share it with. You must not use the service to post, send or store content that:
- is illegal, or encourages illegal activity;
- is hateful or discriminatory, for example on grounds of origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation or disability;
- harasses, threatens, intimidates or humiliates anyone;
- is sexual or pornographic;
- is violent, glorifies violence, or encourages self-harm;
- infringes someone else's rights (privacy, image, copyright);
- is spam, advertising, or chain messages.
You also agree not to:
- try to access a household you are not a member of, or someone else's account;
- try to disrupt or overload the service, or get around its security;
- use the service by automated means (bots, scraping);
- impersonate someone else.
You are responsible for what you post. Respect the other members of your household and their privacy.
5. Reporting and moderation
If a message or a member bothers you:
- Report a message from the chat: open the message's menu and choose Report.
- Or write to contact@it-o.fr, describing the content and the household concerned.
- The household owner can remove a member from the household in Settings.
We review reports as quickly as we can. Content that breaks these terms or the law may be removed, and the accounts responsible may be suspended or deleted, with or without notice depending on how serious the case is. Where the law requires it, we may pass information to the competent authorities.
6. Blocking
You can hide another member's messages on your device: they will no longer be shown to you in the chat. This setting stays on your device, and the other member is not told. You can also leave the household at any time from Settings. If you feel unsafe, report the member as well (section 5).
7. Your content
Your content stays yours. By adding it to the service, you give Théo Boulogne EI (IT'O) only the permission needed to store it, copy it between your devices and show it to the members of your household — that is, to operate the service. This permission ends when the content is deleted. We do not use your content for anything else.
You can export a household's data at any time: Settings → Export this household.
8. Shared expenses
The shared expenses ledger is a memo tool: it helps you keep track of who paid what and who owes whom. It is not a payment service, a bank or a financial service. No money moves through Oh My House. Théo Boulogne EI (IT'O) is not a party to any debt between members, does not guarantee that the amounts entered are correct, and cannot step in to recover any sum.
9. Food storage guidance
The food storage guide, the expiry dates and the reminders are general, indicative advice. They do not replace what is printed on packaging, the manufacturer's instructions, or your own judgement (smell, look, how the food has been stored). Always check before eating. Théo Boulogne EI (IT'O) cannot be held responsible for food safety, food poisoning or the loss of food. The same goes for the chore guide: it is a set of suggestions.
10. Availability and changes
We may change, suspend or stop all or part of the service, in particular during the testing phase — for example for maintenance, security or because the project ends. We will try to warn you in advance where we can, and leave you time to export your data before the service closes.
We may update these terms. If the change is significant, we will tell you in the app or by email before it applies. If you keep using the service after that, the new terms apply; if you do not accept them, you can delete your account.
11. Ending your use of the service
You can stop at any time: Settings → Delete my account deletes your account straight away. See Delete your account for exactly what is deleted.
We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms (section 5).
12. Liability
The service is free and provided as is. To the extent permitted by French law, Théo Boulogne EI (IT'O) is not liable for indirect damage, for loss of data, or for damage caused by content posted by members, by a member's own use of the service, or by events outside our reasonable control (outages of Google's infrastructure, network failures).
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury, for gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived by contract.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law. If there is a disagreement, please write to us first at contact@it-o.fr: most problems can be solved that way. Failing an amicable solution, the dispute will be brought before the competent French courts. If you are a consumer living in another country of the European Union, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country of residence.
